Chris started racing in karts at Mt Wellington when he was 12 years old, at 17 he spent two seasons as a front runner in the Mazda Pro 7 Series, finishing runner up in the championship on both occasions before moving to the NZ V8 Ute Racing series, competing in a VE Holden Commodore V8 Ute. In 2012 he finished 2nd, and 2013 was crowned the NZ V8 Ute Champion and also finished his Bachelor of Construction from Unitec. 2014 he got offered to drive a NZ SuperTourer for PSR Racing. Since then Chris has taken a three year hiatus from racing apart from a one off meeting at the 2016 NZ Grand Prix in a V8 Ute, he won the meeting. PlaceMakers has been a great supporter of Chris and the 2017/18 season sees a new opportunity to fly the PlaceMakers flag once again.
